Autumn and winter is traditionally a time of hibernation for
many hairy mammals and so, as the cold begins to bite, most bikers will be
finding a warm, dry place for their bike in which to shelter from the harsh
winter weather.
However, for commuters and the die-hard two-wheelers,
sub-zero temperatures, driving rain, darkness and biting rain are all part of
the rich tapestry of riding. Being on a
bike at this time of year requires more caution and common sense, plus a few
additional skills to keep you safe.
